Skincare Sunday: Kiehl's Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate
Skincare Sunday returns!! Every other Sunday you can expect a skincare product review from me. Today's victim (and sadly it is a victim) is the Kiehl's Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate.
This lightweight serum claims to hydrate and plump the skin, smoothing fine lines and texture. It has 15% "plant-based Glycerin and Shiso Leaf Extract" and 85% nonsense in it. It doesn't do anything in terms of re-texturizing the skin. I like the pump and airtight container, as well as the simple sleek packaging. It's a nice lightweight basic moisturizing serum if you have oily/combination skin and don't like heavy moisturizing products but at the $58 price point it has to do more than that to wow me. Perhaps just name it "lightweight hydrating serum" so you don't get your hopes up... ya know what I mean?
I don't think it has any real potent active ingredients in it to actually help with skin texture. Save your $58 and put it towards the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate instead, which I find to be a way more effective product for a variety of skin concerns or try the Paula's Choice Antioxidant Serum from this week's post for half the price!
