2 New Things: A Double First Impression

I'm feeling adventurous this weekend so here I am in all my glory featuring two new beauty products that I am trying out for the first time!

Can you guess what they are yet? Can you?

Here's a hint: one is in my hair and one is on my lips!

I'm talkin' about Living Proof Curl Defining Styling Cream and Too Faced Melted Lipstick (Metal Edition) in Melted Metallic Peony:

I used a nickel-sized amount of the Living Proof Curl Defining Cream in my damp hair after showering and I let it air dry in all its glory. I did put it in a loose bun at the top of my head to keep it away from my face during the process. It did enhance the natural waves of my hair and it added some "piece-y" quality to it while still keeping my hair soft and free of frizz. My hair did not feel weighed down at all and it remained easy to manage. Would I run out to buy the full size, though? Probably not. I think that the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Night Cap is extremely similar but slightly more versatile since it can be used on all hair types and it suits my "washing hair at night then going to bed with it wet" lifestyle. I'd recommend that product to anyone.

Too Faced Melted lipsticks are really nice. I have a couple of the regular shades so this new metallic formula was interesting. I did receive this from the brand for consideration, and I have to be honest that a lot of the colours in the range totally freaked me out, namely the darks/brights but Peony I can definitely get down with. It makes my lips look plump and multi dimensional. It lasted a few hours on my lips and faded away nicely. I say these are worth a try if you're adventurous when it comes to lip finish and like a soft subtle frosty sheen. Do prime the lips/exfoliate before you apply, though, because due to the frosty finish they can accentuate dry lips in a non-flattering way!
