Gettin' Minty With It #ManicureMonday
Happy Manicure Monday!
Last year at this time, I was all about the pastel pinks (see my round-up of the best pale pink polishes here) but I think it's safe to say that in 2015 we are experiencing a pale blue/mint green revival. There's just something about a crisp pale blue/green nail that makes me really happy. It's absolutely perfect for this time of year. Here are my top pale blue/green hues from my nail polish collection:
- OPI That's Hula-rious wins for worst name (seriously, were the full-time OPI nail polish namers on vacation?) but we can let it slide because the colour is gorgeous and applied really well. Lasted a full week without chips, too! It's a perfect fun bright green that's got the right amount of creaminess to it so that you don't feel too old wearing it. It's going to be a super fun summer pedicure colour as well!
- Laura Mercier Attitude came out last year but is still available to purchase on their site. I love LM nail polishes and they fly under the radar many times. I love the colours they come out with, and you can often find the collections at places like Winners/TJ MAXX for a great discount. Attitude is like the blue version of Essie Fiji, except it applies way better. In fact, all the polishes I am harping on about in this post went completely smooth and opaque in 2 coats.
- Essie Mint Candy Apple was the one polish that got the ball rolling on this minty nail movement. I remember when it first came out and how crazy everyone went for it. It's the brightest of the bunch I am sharing with you today and I don't wear it often but when I do, I always get questions or compliments.
- Smith & Cult Bitter Buddhist is a "grown and sexy" pale murky blue/green. It's like the sky on a stormy day. It's chic and interesting. Smith & Cult are easily becoming my favourite nail polish brand and I'm happy to report that you can buy them online at Neiman Marcus and Net-a-Porter now!
Are you into these minty hues? What's floating your nail polish boat this season?
