A Clarins Concealer Verdict That Took Too Long
I am not sure why it has taken me this long to write this review. I purchased the Clarins Instant Concealer months ago on an impromptu shopping trip on my lunch break. I had put the tester on under my eyes at the store and BOOM, it looked so good right then and there that I bought it.
Months later, what’s the verdict?
The Clarins Instant Concealer (I got it in the shade #2 – it only comes in three shades) is nice but not remarkable. I find it most suitable as an under-eye concealer. I think this is why it’s taken me so long to write about it… it’s just OK. I don’t love it, I don’t hate it. I will use it up but I won’t repurchase.
I like the squeeze tube packaging, and the fact that the formula is thin but with good coverage. The formula isn’t drying, and it looks really nice when freshly applied. You get a generous amount of product in the tube and a little goes a long way.
It only comes in 3 shades. I have it in shade #2 which has a pink undertone, which is why I use it under the eyes. It creases quite quickly. Even when I set it with powder I still get creasing. Coverage fades significantly throughout the day.
In conclusion – this is just alright. I still prefer the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer over this in terms of colour selection, coverage and lasting power.
Have you tried this concealer? What were your experiences with it?
