Walking in LA

The post-holiday blues are going strong. I had an awesome 5 days away in LA last week and managed to record a few glimpses of the trip on video. A vlog from the trip will be up on Friday so make sure you're subscribed to me on YouTube if you want to check that out!
We stayed at the Marina Del Rey hotel for one night before we moved to the SLS hotel in Beverly Hills, which was AWESOME. The corner suite was incredibly spacious and well-decorated. The food was crazy good – I had more portions of truffle fries from the pool lounge than I’d like to admit – and dinner at The Bazaar restaurant was one of the top dining experiences of my life. We dined at the Miami location of The Bazaar before (also amazing), and the Los Angeles location did not disappoint. If you like tapas and are adventurous with food, I cannot recommend The Bazaar highly enough. They even move you into a separate dining room for dessert!

Another memorable outing was Thursday evening in Venice, where I finally got to meet Anna and Lily! We met up on Abbot Kinney and walked to the beach, through the canals, then had a lovely dinner at The Tasting Kitchen. They were so much fun to hang out with and I’m so happy we were able to make it happen.

Santa-Monica-Ocean-Drive

Our last day was spent in Santa Monica – we went to Ox and Son for dinner (another incredible dining experience) and then to Fig for brunch the following day. Fig is located in the Fairmount Miramar hotel, and that hotel has the most glorious looking tree I have ever seen. I love my foliage, what can I say?

I had an amazing time and I can’t wait to go back! Next time we go over there we want to take a trip out to Joshua Tree as well.
