Budge-Proof Bronzy Gold Shadows For Summer

The heat is on, the sweat is beading off of my forehead but my eyeshadow goes on and on. I’ve been sporting one or both of these two cream shadow products consistently over the past week and they really are as long lasting as their names suggest:

Trish McEvoy 24 Hour Eyeshadow/Liner in Topaz

I’ve sung its praises before and here I am singing them again. It’s just as long-wearing as the By Terry Ombre Blackstar cream shadow stick in Bronze Moon albeit less glittery, making it more versatile and appropriate for daytime wear to the office. Topaz a gorgeous mix of taupe, bronze and gold. Easy to build up in order to get a more intense metallic sheen. I like to wear this as a liner during the day (it’s perfect for the lower lash line) and I like to use it as a base for a bronze smoky eye at night.

Clarins Ombre Waterproof Cream Colour Eyeshadow in Golden Sand

This is like a long-wearing cream shadow version of MAC Blonde’s Gold pigment. It’s got waterproof in the title and I can confirm the claim. This sucker stayed on my eyes (and the back of my hand) throughout an entire hot summer day mixed with yard work and running errands. You can see it in action in my latest video. It looks very natural when blended out all over the eyelid with a fluffy brush, and is a fantastic base.
