Playing With Capsules
When I received this moisturizer from Glow Recipe I was skeptical and intrigued at the same time. I opened the jar and saw these plump little capsules, staring back at me.
Glow Recipe know their stuff when it comes to Korean skincare. Everything I have tried has been really innovative, gentle and effective (check out my previous experimentation with water packs and rubber masks). They constantly update their brand roster to keep things interesting and I love the "Latest Curations" section of the site which always has the coolest suggestions. The J.One Hana Cream is no different:
It's a rich moisturizer that is delivered in little pea-sized capsules. Each capsule is the perfect serving size of moisturizer for my entire face and neck, and it comes with a clear spatula so that you can scoop out the capsule from the jar and keep things sanitary. The capsule then breaks down once you start melting it into your hands and you apply the cream onto your face.
The texture of the moisturizer is rich, but not overwhelmingly heavy. It sinks into the skin quickly and has a faint powdery scent to it. It reminds me of the scent of Nivea cream... it's a very old-school moisturizer scent but it dissipates after a few minutes. My skin is left happy, comfortable and glowy. My skin definitely appreciates the moisture boost from this product and I use it at night on weekends. I currently have combination skin, dehydrated but oily in the T-zone. I think this moisturizer would be a wonderful addition to anyone's skincare regime in the fall/winter months, and a great option to keep on hand year-round if you're dry.
You can find J.One Hana Cream and other amazing K-beauty goodies at Glow Recipe. It retails for $30 - on the US Sephora Site it's $50 for the exact same thing, so definitely pick it up from GR if you're interested!
Keep that skin happy and hydrated this season!
