Re-discovery

You know when you buy something, like it, but you forget about it because new products always take your attention away?
It happens to me all the time, but one thing I do love is going back and rediscovering that product in new and exciting ways... "shopping my stash" if you will.

Today's product was Chanel Vert Khaki eyeshadow. I bought it at the same time as Taupe Grise (which absolutely stole my heart) so I forgot about the beautiful muted khaki green I had sitting in my drawer.
I mostly used it on the lower lash line or in the outer corner, but this time I came across it and decided to apply it all over the lid instead! The result was loveee:

Added a hint of NARS Fez eyeshadow in the outer corner for some more warmth, Shu Uemura painting liner in black, and Prestige My Blackest Lashes mascara... and we were done!
Sumptuous Olive by MAC is similar but I think a bit more green.

One thing I adore about the Chanel single eyeshadows (the two I own, anyway) is that they shine in the most subtle way... it's never chunky glitter or high shimmer, just a subtle sheen that blends out nicely and ends up looking multi-dimensional... like you're wearing more than just one colour on the lid.

...and you know me, most of the time I am the ultimate "plop on just one colour on the lid and go" girl.
