Sephora VIB Sale 2016 - My Wishlist & Recommendations

I never realize how fast a year goes by until the Sephora VIB sale rolls around. What? You don't measure time in Sephora Sale intervals? Just me? Hmm. :P

It takes place THIS WEEK for VIB Rouge Members.  The deets? 20% off between November 4-7 with code 20ROUGE at checkout and it gives us beautyholics the chance to splurge on products we've been eyeing all year. It's also a great chance to get a head start on your holiday shopping. For the last couple of years I've shared my own wishlists and recommendations for the sale on here, and this year is no different. Aside from any backups of frequently used products (in my case, Anastasia brow products) here's what I think you should buy:

MASKS-R-US
From SK-II Facial Treatment Masks to Skyn Iceland's Plumping Lip Gels, I like to buy some sort of mask during VIB sale season. Those two are at the top of my wishlist this season but I have indulged (and would recommend) the following as well:
Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask (for bumpy, congested skin), Ole Henriksen Lemon Strip Flash Peel (for hyperpigmentation), Kate Somerville RetaSphere Peel (for anti aging) or the REN Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask (sensitive skin with pigmentation issues) are all worthy contenders if your skin is in dire need of a pick-me-up.

TOOLS OF THE TRADE
The category with the heaviest price tag, beauty tools are a common wishlist item among us. Whether it's a new foundation brush, a T3 Curling Wand or a BeautyBlender refresh, I always walk away with new beauty tools each sale. This year I am getting the Surratt Relevee Eyelash Curler because I love the sleek black matte finish and it gets great reviews, so I'm sold! If you're thinking hair - you can't go wrong with T3. Their super-popular Featherweight range is beautiful, lightweight and performs like a dream. If you have thick unruly hair that no blow dryer can tame, you may want to pull out the big guns and opt for the new Dyson Supersonic

PAINT MY FACE
Let's get to the best part here. THE MAKEUP. Basically the entire Surratt Beauty collection is on my wishlist - eyeshadows and blushes in particular. It doesn't help my case that the shade selection has been extended in the last week to show EVEN MORE options that I am having a hard time choosing between. Duchesse blush is a gorgeous soft peach that I'd love to get my hands on and I hear fantastic things about the contour and highlighting powder. Speaking of blush... one of my favorite blushes this year is Marc Jacobs Flesh & Fantasy. The Marc Jacobs Air Blush formula is flawless and I highly recommend checking them out during the sale, if you haven't already.

I also have a couple of Giorgio Armani Eye Tints in my cart - namely Camel Smoke and Senso. It's quickly becoming my favorite cream eyeshadow formula. Ever. Armani also launched their new liquid lipsticks this week - the Lip Magnets - boasting and ultra comfortable undetectable formula and opaque matte (non-drying) coverage. I can hear the angels singing. Shades 504, 505 and 506 are on my radar. Other luxe eyeshadows I would recommend are the Burberry ones - Almond and Pale Barley are long-time loves of mine and the cream shadow in Pink Heather is a go-to for lazy one eyeshadow days.

SNIFF SNIFF
Finally, fragrance. Whether it's a refill of your signature Chanel Eau De Toilette or going on a limb to try something new via rollerball, it's always a good call to pick up a fragrance during the sale, given that fragrance products never usually go on sale. I'm eyeing the Tom Ford section like a hawk - their Noir perfume has been on my mind for months, I ran out of Black Orchid aaaaand I'm drooling over their Private Blend fragrances. Send help.

What's on your wishlist this season? Happy shopping!
