Little Red Details

Black, white and red have been one of my go-to colour combinations ever since I have learned to dress myself. It's a classic combination. Crisp whites, balanced by rich black textures and all garnished with a pop of red. GIMME!

Trousers are by Current/Elliott, which is quickly becoming my top high-end denim brand. I have had these for years and they are still comfortable and luxurious. A very similar pair is now on sale, so snag them at a discount if you've had leather trousers on your wishlist for a while. H&M also make great leather alternatives at a much more wallet-friendly price point.

The white bodysuit is from Aritzia. It's a lovely thick material which flatters the body and keeps me warm. My coat is All Saints, an older model that they did not bring back this year but this one is an almost identical dupe at a third of the price. Score! I absolutely love the juxtaposition of the thick warm knit and the black leather of the jacket. It's a great (warmer) alternative to the traditional black moto jacket.

Shoes are the Gucci Princetown slippers in the Hibiscus colour. They are ridiculously comfortable and I am so happy that I didn't get the black version or the furry version. While I love the man repelling aspect of the furry one, it just is too trendy and does warrant the investment. The sleek version of this mule is more versatile and the colour makes it the perfect stand-out piece in any outfit. They're cute for less frigid fall days with a pair of cropped trousers, they work with midi skirts in the spring or with a pair of cut-off shorts in summer! In the winter I can rock 'em indoors. Can you tell I've got this all planned out?

For the lips I thought I'd play up the red of the shoes by wearing one of my most recent (and latest favorite) reds: Nudestix Royal. This is from their Intense Matte Lip & Cheek Pencil range and I have to say it's my most preferred formula they make. The pigment is incredible, the finish is a chic matte and the formula is less drying than the NARS Velvet Matte lip pencils. If you are a fan of the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil formula, you have to give this Nudestix formula a try. Plus, they come with their own sharpeners!
