This spring/summer season is all about graphic T-Shirts. Big logos and funny phrases are everywhere, from low to astronomical price points. Here's the thing, though: I don't like them. Yes, "KALE" in the Yale University font is funny and I appreciate the humour but when it comes to actually wearing it out on the street, it's just not my style. Instead, I gravitate towards tees that still catch the eye albeit in a more subtle manner.
In lieu of funny phrases, I prefer mixing textures and prints
or choosing a piece that slightly tweaks the silhouette of a classic Tee with a wrap detail or an unexpected ruffle on the sleeves.
Here are some of my top picks if you're looking to add a fun new T-shirt with a twist for this Spring/Summer 2017 season:
For the rest of this outfit, I kept the bottom simple with a pair of black high-waisted straight leg jeans by FRAME. After being exclusive with black skinny jeans for so many years, I am finally branching out into less form-fitting styles! I started with the culottes I posted last week and now added in this new straight leg option. I like the casual, relaxed vibe that these bottoms add to the look and they look great dressed up with a white blouse and heels, as well.
A little touch of red with the Gucci Princetown loafer mules and Essie's Gel Couture nail polish in the shade Flashed, which has been on my nails pretty much the entire month. The statement silver rings are from Miranda Frye - the big circle Carina ring is my absolute favourite and the kind people at the brand gave me a discount code available for you! If you use the code "SANDRA" at checkout, you get 10% off your order as well as free shipping (within the US). Score!
