Oh hey there. It's me, Sandra, your friendly neighbourhood CLEANSER ADDICT. I can't stop won't stop trying out new cleansers. They're probably my favourite skincare item to indulge in just because cleansing is something you have to do at least twice a day and a good cleanser really sets the tone for your entire skincare routine.
Anyway, enough waffling and on to the good stuff. I've been using the Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser ($36 at Nordstrom and Sephora) for almost two months now and it's enough for me to say it's good stuff. It is part of their Age Reform range and it manages to thoroughly cleanse and exfoliate the skin using both physical and chemical exfoliants. That means that it has little particles in it that physically scrub away your dead skin and impurities while the AHA and BHA acids in it work on a chemical level to help break down dead skin. It somehow manages to do all that hardcore cleansing without leaving the skin dry or tight or feeling stripped. It doesn't foam up and has mainly a gel consistency, with tiny exfoliating granules suspended within. I also like that it comes in a soft plastic tube, making it super easy to squeeze out the amount of cleanser you need.
I've been using this in the mornings as a slightly more intense alternative to the Tata Harper Resurfacing Cleanser or in the evening after makeup removal. I wouldn't recommend this if you have super sensitive skin given the nature of it - but if your concerns are anti-aging (fading of dark spots, sun damage) and anti acne and your skin is in the normal - oily range, you will love this stuff!
Murad is pretty reliable when it comes to skincare and their products address a ton of different skin concerns. I'm happy with almost everything I have tried by them, aside from their Anti-Acne range, which didn't work for me.
What's your current go-to cleanser? I NEED MOAR!!
