This completely took me by surprise. I got this in the Bobbi Brown Beauty Emergency Kit last month which was kindly sent to me and after the first time I used it, I was hooked. The Bobbi Brown Pot Rouges are cream products that can be used as cheek or lip stains. I always stayed away from them because most cream blushes don't work on my oily skin. They leave an unpleasant residue or they end up looking streaky by the time I finish putting my makeup on. This feels really wet and tacky when you swatch it in the pot but it blends out amazingly on the skin.
It blends out well with the fingers, doesn't look streaky and it dries in seconds leaving no sticky residue on the skin. The colour Powder Pink is a gorgeous nude rose shade that is perfect for everyday on the cheeks and lips. It's a great "my lips but better" colour! Lasting power: lasts a solid 6-8 hours on the skin meaning it takes me through the workday easily without needing a touch-up. If I'm having a super long day I touch it up with a bit of powder blush (Tarte's Exposed blush is a great companion) and I'm good to go!
So if you're an oily skin girl like me and you've been avoiding Bobbi Brown Pot Rouges like the plague, fear no more - it's tried and tested by yours truly and it's awesome! You can buy the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for $27 at Bobbi Brown Counters in department stores near you or get this shade in the Beauty Emergency Kit for $53 along with some other goodies.
Sephora carries some of the colours but not the Powder Pink shade featured in this post. See it in action in my makeup tutorial here:
