In a world filled with cream shadow sticks (I personally seem to keep collecting all the brown/bronze shades in the universe #cantstopwontstop) the By Terry Ombre Blackstar sticks win out in terms of lasting power and pretty shades. This is Brown Perfection. The lovely Anna sent this to me in a little swap we did last year since it's one of her favourites and I really love it too (thanks, Anna!!).
They retail for $43, making them the most expensive, but they're crazy gorgeous and a lovely treat for any makeup obsessed woman. They blend easily but they set rather quickly so you need to blend them out (with your fingers of a brush) before they get a chance to set because then they don't budge. I love many other brands of shadow sticks as well (Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier come to mind) but the By Terry Ombre Blackstars are the only ones that last well on me without needing a primer. I have oily skin and eyelids.
Brown Perfection is a rich cool-toned brown with very subtle shimmers that translate to a satin-like finish on the lid. Out of what I have in my collection, it's closest in shade to MAC Constructivist Paint Pot albeit without the taupe/purple undertones.
I would be more than happy to do a tutorial with this product if you'd like to see it in action! What's your favourite cream eyeshadow stick?
