While I am perfectly happy with my drugstore shampoo & conditioners on an everyday basis - the L'Oreal Extreme Repair and Extraordinary Oil ranges are fantastic, as is the Herbal Essences Naked Volume range. I do love to treat myself to a fancy salon haircare experience every now and then. When I can, I like to purchase sample/travel sizes of more expensive luxury haircare to really get a feel of the stuff before committing to the full size.
Case in point - I picked up travel sizes of Davines Momo shampoo & conditioner when I was in Chicago last month. I've used them a few times and every time I use them I'm excited - THIS IS GREAT STUFF. The Momo range is geared towards dry/dehydrated hair. I have oily roots and dry ends due to color processing. I also have very fine and thin hair. The Davines Momo range manages to hydrate and nourish my hair without weighing it down at all. It smells delicious - a subtle fruity scent that isn't cloying or too sweet.
I have always heard good things about this haircare range but I had never seen it in person. You can find it online on Amazon or at Birchbox, or at some salons. If you can get your hands on this stuff, I highly recommend it. It's at a lower price point than Oribe but it's superior in quality as far as shampoo/conditioner products are involved.
