I have tried so many great foundations this year, it’s hard to contain myself!!
The latest addition to my collection is the Sephora Perfection Mist Airbrush Foundation. I bought this in the shade Fawn (perfect match for a light/medium skintone with yellow undertone) and it’s been my go-to foundation for quick “out the door” situations and for work.
It’s easy to apply – despite the instructions I would recommend you do NOT spray this right on your face. It’s messy and the coverage isn’t as customizable. I also didn’t care to spray it straight on the brush. I spray it in the cap, which ensures a mess-free application, then swirl my brush in the cap and apply the foundation on my face. I use either a Sephora 55 Airbrush foundation brush if I want light coverage or a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush if I want a hint more coverage.
The color doesn’t oxidize and it lasts all day. When I’m extra oily I use a primer (Becca Pore Perfecting Primer) and powder, but on normal skin days I can just apply this without powder and it still lasts me through the workday. At $35 it is a lot more reasonable than the $60+ Dior Airflash foundation.
I’m a big fan of this and I highly recommend it if you’re in the market for a great everyday light-medium coverage foundation. It does not have SPF so it’s flash photo-friendly!
Have you played around with airbrush foundations?
