I shared my Morning and Evening Skincare routines with you over on YouTube and those videos feature the products I reach for on the daily. But what about the special treats? I definitely like to have my skincare treats – usually on weekends – featuring products that smell incredible and make me feel ultra pampared. Here are the 2 that are I am reaching for every weekend:
The Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm (right) – I have spoken about this little pot of heaven before (full review here) but I just had to revisit it and remind you that you have to try it. At least once. It will make you happy, I promise. At $60 this cleansing balm is a splurge which is why I only use it on weekends. I keep it stashed at my boyfriend’s house in order to stop myself from using it daily. It smells great, feels super nourishing when you work it onto the skin and it gets all the makeup off. Sometimes I even use it in the mornings. I am lucky that a local shop in Ann Arbor, MI sells the Emma Hardie range so I am able to get it quickly, but for everyone else in North America, you can get it on Amazon with free shipping.
UK/International ladies can find it at Feel Unique.
Speaking of little pots of heaven… the Bottega Organica Orange Restorative Mask is a new product that I have included in my pamper regime. I received some products to test out from the brand a few months ago and while this was too rich for me to use in the warmer months, I am loving it for fall/winter. If you have drier skin you can definitely use this year-round. This mask is unlike any mask I used before in that it has a rich oily texture. It’s a solid in the pot, like coconut oil, but once you warm it up with fingers it melts into an oil. A little goes a long way. I melt about an almond-sized amount of product with my fingers, apply on my face, leave it on as long as I possibly can and then wash off with a washcloth. It smells incredible of citrus and apricot and it leaves the skin feeling nourished – getting rid of any dry patches. Bottega Organica is an all natural brand from New York, they harvest their products from local farms in the NY area or Italy. You can find out more about them and where to buy their products here.
