Rosy. Mauve. Nude. If a lip liner contains any of those words in its shade description, I am there and I am into it. These are my ride or die lip liners at the moment and surprise surprise - they encompass all the rosy mauve nude goodness that I desire.
From Dior to drugstore...
Dior Grege (top) is the lightest lip liner of the bunch, sporting a hint of an earthy undertone. This is a great colour if you're just seeking to even out your lip shade in preparation for any nude lipstick or gloss in your collection. This stuff is so versatile and it glides over the lips with ease. Next one down is Milani Nude, which sports a darker mauve undertone. This is a fabulous budget option and a must-try if you're into the 90's lip trend that is still rocking our world. It's available at most drugstores in the US but if you're in Canada you can grab them on sale at Well.ca (one of my favorite sites!)
Speaking of budget lip liners that kick ass, Rimmel's Eastend Snob is a classic. I have gone through a bunch of these in the 5 years I've been aware of the shade. I think it's the lip liner that I have used the longest, now that I think of it. The formula is creamy, incredibly easy to spread across the lips, and you don't have to sharpen it due to its roll-up mechanism. Win Win Win! Last but not least, we have my sweet baby. My precious. Lancôme Le Lipstique lip liner pencil in Natural Mauve. This works under every lipstick I own because it is so similar to my natural lip colour. It is the lip liner I go to when I want to even out the shape of my lips and make them look a bit more full without having them look fake and overdrawn. The formula is long lasting, too. A must try!
What are your go-to everyday lip liners? Do you love lip liners or can you not be bothered with 'em? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
