After receiving a ton of brilliant red nailpolish recommendations I took my little list, stepped right to the OPI shelf at the store and frantically searched for Vodka and Caviar - which was hands down the most recommended by you.
However, when I found it - it looked so much darker in the bottle and not really what I had in mind so I got totally distracted by a colour I hadn't really heard before called "A Oui Bit Of Red". It came out in the OPI France collection which I think was my favourite nail polish collection to date - but it has since made it into the permanent "Classics" line.
What won me over is that it is a slightly cool toned red, not a blood red like Essie Limited Addiction nor a warm tomato red like Essie Lollipop. It has a slight raspberry/pink base and a very very finely milled shimmer throughout that almost flashes fuschia in some lights (I had to try about 10 times to get it to show up on camera but I succeeded). 99% of the time in regular lighting it's just a beautiful bright wintery red.
I'm a happy camper!
This marks the 10th nail polish I have bought this year meaning I have reached the limit of my allowance for my "2011 Nail Polish Out". Initially I was only allowing myself to buy 5 for the year, but then I got rid of about 17 polishes so I figured a little limit increase was a fitting reward for a nailpolish addict like me ;)
I will do a "Nail Polish Out" round-up blog post as we get closer to the end of the year and I can also film a collection video if you are interested :)
Hope you are having a great week!
