I've been having a hard time letting go of these products lately. They cover all aspects of the beauty spectrum, some I've adored for years and it's time they get some attention. Here are the five products I deem my essentials for this hot and sunny season:
1. Chanel Chance Eau Fraîche Sheer Moisture Mist
OMG. This is awesome. Not only does it soften the skin but it has that delicious fresh Chance Eau Fraîche scent (which lasts!). An awesome product to keep in your bag for refreshing on those long hot summer days. This is one of my all time favourite scents. It is available in the Eau Tendre version as well. In Canada you can get this at The Bay online, in UK here and in the US it is currently sold out online everywhere except for Chanel.com. If you're a fan of this scent, you have to own this sheer moisture mist. End of discussion.
2. L'Oréal Paris Silky Sheer BB SPF 50
A great facial SPF. Leaves the skin nice and velvety with a slight hint of a tint, works well by itself and under makeup and is conveniently located at a drugstore near you. You can't do wrong. The whole newly released/revamped Sublime Sun range is good and you can read more about the rest of the offerings here.
3. Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray
I got the travel bottle of this too because I can't be without it. Messy bedhead volume and texture in a bottle. I get mine from Neimans but if you're in Toronto, Jacob & Sebastian (an awesome store, highly recommended) carries most of the Oribe line.
4. Essie Lollipop
This. Is. My. Favorite. Red. Nailpolish. Ever.
It's bright, warm, but doesn't lean too orange or coral. It makes me happy and it applies like a dream. It's not always in stock in stores but it's always on Amazon! If only every Essie nail polish performed like this one...
5. NARS Satin Lip Pencil in "Lodhi"
I love NARS lip pencils and Lodhi is a spring/summer staple. It's a coral bright enough to make an impression but not so bright as to be in the way. It fades nicely and plays well with other nudes if you want to mute the brightness. I am wearing it in this post.
