It's been a while since I've done a wishlist post but here I am... still wishin'
My beauty wishlist is growing each day so I thought I would round up the things that are currently on my radar and we can discuss them in more detail - I am especially keen on hearing your thoughts and opinions on any of the products on this list if you've tried them!
Here's the handy dandy visual reference (with links embedded if you'd like to see the product in more detail):
I already own one of these Tom Ford Lip Contour Duos and I'm itching for another. I own shade #4 Show It Off and the formula is to die for. I especially love the quality and longevity of the lip liner and adore the convenience of having lip liner and lipstick in one single product. Shade #2 is a softer, lighter shade and I'm eager to add it to my collection
Confession: I follow Kylie Jenner on Snapchat. I saw her doing a lip mask a few times over the last month or so and my interest was piqued. Although she did not use this particular brand, I saw these Skyn Iceland Plumping Lip Gels pop up on Sephora today and have already added them to my cart. Review pending. Think if it as a sheet mask for your mouth!
The Giorgio Armani Master Corrector. An oldie but goodie. I have gone through 2 bottles of this in the past and I miss having it in my collection. There were rumours of this being discontinued a year ago but I am happy to see that it hasn't happened. This still remains the best under-eye color corrector I have ever tried and I am itching to own it again. I use the shade #1, which has a salmon pink undertone - perfect for counteracting blue/purple under-eye circles.
I was on a press trip in May with a Canadian beauty writer who was in her 40's and had the most phenomenal skin I had ever seen. No plastic surgery, no injections. When I asked her what she swore by, she said two words: La Prairie. Although she receives and reviews countless products by different brands, La Prairie remains the bread and butter of her beauty routine. While the price tags of almost all their products make my eyes water, I am increasingly intrigued by these two products which bridge conventional makeup with skincare technology: The Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Transforming Cream Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 (#4) - good God, could the name of this product be any longer - and the Cellular Treatment Loose Powder (#6 in pic). One is a sun protection complexion-perfecting serum with great coverage, and the other is a finely milled makeup setting powder that claims to absorb oil throughout the day as it gets released from your skin. GIMME!
Next up in the exorbitantly priced beauty products list - May Lindstrom The Honey Mud. This is a clay mask/cleanser hybrid that I am dying to try. I am a fan of the brand so far (love their Jasmine Garden face mist) and have enjoyed a smiliar face mask/cleanser hybrid in the past so I am eager to try this. May Lindstrom products are always natural and use the highest quality ingredients. They also tend to smell divine so no matter what you choose from the range, it's sure to be a SCENT-SATIONAL experience. Hehe.
For foundation, the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation has been on my radar since its release. Full coverage yet lightweight and boasts fantastic oil control capabilities. I am currently in between shades as shade 3 is too pale and shade 4 is too dark for me... so I am waiting until either I get pale/tan enough to justify either of the two. I am also waiting to finish up at least 2 foundations from my drawer in order to make room for something new. Patience is a virtue, my friends.
Fresh makes cleansing oil? Is this new or have I been living under a rock? I'm almost out of my Tatcha Cleansing Oil and am dying to try something new. I love Fresh Soy Face Cleanser so perhaps their Seaberry Cleansing Oil will be a good one. Have not seen it pop up in any of the blogs/YouTube channels I watch yet.
Finally - an Artis Oval 7 foundation brush. These giant toothbrush-like concoctions have been on my mind a lot lately since I have started to ditch my Beauty Blender and embrace my buffing brushes when it comes to foundation application. The Artis brushes claim to have an ergonomic advantage and their super soft synthetic bristles are densely packed to ensure an even, flawless and fast application. There's nothing I embrace more than something that claims to help me put my foundation on faster AND more flawlessly in the mornings. I already hate waking up when it's dark outside so anything that can get me 5 minutes of extra snooze time in the morning is a good thing. Will keep you posted on anything I pick up in the coming weeks!
