Biologique Recherche Silk Plus
I booked my first ever Biologique Recherche facial last week, having heard that the brand recently opened its first US flagship location in Los Angeles and it coincided with my travel plans.
The facial was incredibly relaxing and indulgent. I ended up buying the final product my esthetician used during my facial because I loved the way it felt and I’ve been really happy incorporating it at the end of my morning routine: Silk Plus. If you have combination oily skin, you will likely really enjoy this too. Here’s an excerpt about it from the brand’s website:
“Silk Plus helps regulate sebaceous secretions and rebalance the epidermis while controlling excess shine. Its soothing active ingredients, known for their anti-inflammatory properties, calm and revitalize epidermises that have been damaged by everyday stress. Homecourt Steeped Rose Candle
Homecourt is a relatively new home care brand, and the line consists of a small curated collection of goods such as surface cleaner, dish soap, hand wash, hand lotion and candles. After falling head over heels with the Steeped Rose scented hand wash, I ordered the matching candle.
It’s candle season, baby! Might as well treat my senses with a luxurious candle as the temperature drops and the darkness consumes every morsel of happiness in my brain (dramatic, much? *cries in seasonal affective disorder*).
The concrete vessel is stunning and the scent is really uplifting and fresh. It’s not an overwhelming jammy rose, but rather sweet and green. It fills a large room easily and burns clean. I am already planning on trying all the other scents in the range, too.
Sachi Pro Resilience Serum
I have loved every skincare product I have tried from Sachi. The brand is really carefully curated and intentional. The brand’s founder, Farah, is an incredible resource on Instagram and shares so many tips and tricks that have helped me over the years. The latest launch from the brand is the hydrating serum of my dreams, and so much more. It’s called Pro Resilience Serum.
It is a delightful water-based hydrating, barrier-repairing, antioxidant serum that can be incorporated in ones skincare routine day and night. It instantly quenches my skin’s thirst while feeling extremely elegant and layering with ease. Not sticky, not heavy, not too watery, juuuust right.
Byredo Casablanca Lily
The change in seasons awakens my inner fragrance monster, and after spending nearly an hour smelling my way through Byredo’s entire catalogue at their Melrose Ave location, I came out the other side with a new gem to add to my collection.
Casablanca Lily is a delicious, sweet and soft white floral with notes of tuberose, plum, and gardenia enveloped by layers of honey and a rosewood base. It’s elegant and powerful yet subtle. Despite being in the brand’s Night Veils range which boasts a higher concentration of ingredients, Casablanca Lily doesn’t announce your arrival with a loudspeaker. It projects slightly, but stays close, just the way I like it.
Soft Services Theraplush Overnight Hand Treatment
Soft Services is quickly becoming my favorite body care brand. I love their approach, their messaging, their packaging and their products just work. I’m a big fan of their body acne clearing line and have repurchased it many times over. When the brand reached out to me last month to test their upcoming overnight hand treatment, I jumped at the chance.
Theraplush is an ultra-nourishing retinol hand treatment designed to sit pretty on your nightstand so that you use it nightly before going to sleep. The packaging is gorgeous (and refillable, to boot). The pump mechanism makes it easy to dispense the perfect amount of product with just one hand - you lift off the lid, press down on the pump and the product comes out. It is fragrance free and it leaves my hands feeling, as the name suggests, super plush. Not greasy or heavy but rather soft and velvety. My hands and cuticles have never looked better.
