Outfit Roundup #9

What I loved wearing in June and July

An alternative title to this post would be “an ode to the mirror selfie” - this has been the quickest and easiest way for me to document what I’ve loved wearing over the last few weeks.

The White Shirt, Two Ways

Outfit 1 features my trusty Arket White Shirt worn unbuttoned at the bottom over a neutral tailored pair of shorts from Tibi. The shorts are an old discontinued style but I will round up some current favorites below because tailored shorts are a summer wardrobe staple for me! Sandals are old Marc Fisher and bag is Bottega Veneta. This was a perfect dinner outfit for me - I felt cool, comfortable and put together.

Outfit 2 features the same shirt (if you’re in the US, Arket sadly doesn’t ship here so this H&M option is a great alternative) worn over an Aritzia Bodysuit and distressed Mango Jeans that you saw me rave about last month. Same sandals and bag because when I like something, I wear it over and over and over again! I wore this outfit to brunch, and also to work but paired with flat sandals. Easy peasy.

Outfit 3 is what I wore to a fun dinner out for my friend’s birthday last week and it’s probably my favorite of the bunch. On the bottom I am wearing this fun, lightweight summer take on cargo pants from Tibi that are ridiculously versatile. They’re cotton and a bit intentionally see through but with clever pockets located in all the right places. I’ve been wearing them non stop (see below for more casual styling option). The one shoulder tank is by Lisa Yang, blazer is an oldie but goodie courtesy of my husband’s closet (from J Crew), sandals are the same as before and bag is Fendi.

Outfit 4 is a casual take on the dinner outfit from earlier. The one shoulder tank makes an appearance again (this Cuyana Slim One Shoulder Top is a great alternative if you can’t get your hands on the Lisa Yang one, plus in better color options) paired with a chunky gold necklace, mustard Theory Blazer, black chunky sandals from Vince and the Tibi Cotton Joggers I’m obsessed with.

Outfit 5 was the perfect hot summer day in the city outfit for me, featuring a light blue Aritzia Bodysuit and the same leather clutch by Bottega Veneta. On the bottom I am wearing Toteme Black Linen Trousers and the comfortable, trusty Vince Glyn Sandals I have been consistently wearing since buying them last year. They used to have a white stripe on the sole but I used a sharpie to cover it up and make them all black. I find that they’re a bit more elevated this way. The all black Birkenstock Arizona EVA Sandals are a similar option.
