For me, summer dressing is all about comfort. I do not want to suffer for the sake of fashion, and I need what I’m wearing to be practical while at the same time still reflecting my personal style. I want lightweight layering options in case I’m in air conditioned environments and prefer breathable fabrics like linen or cotton. I’ve been really into ribbed knit textures and racerback tanks, loose oversized shirts worn as jackets and chunky sandals to balance out a more refined look.

How has my style evolved this summer? I’m embracing color after being cocooned in the comfort of neutral hues for many years. There’s something fun and refreshing about an injection of brightness in a summer look, but still keeping the look grounded in neutrals. I am also learning to lean into accessories - summertime outfits often lack the depth and interest one can achieve with layers in other seasons, so having a bit of fun with accessories can add that much needed extra kick.
